Three D2 Ice Knights named ACHA Academic All-Americans

Three members of the D2 team have been named Academic All-Americans by the ACHA.

Three members of the D2 Ice Knights have been named ACHA Academic All-Americans for the 2015-2016 season.  To be eligible for the award players need to be a junior or senior and have a grade point average of 3.2 or higher. 

Receiving the award are Daniel Taule, Seth Crockett and Ryan Levy.

Ryan Levy, a defenseman, is a junior.  Prior to attending Rutgers he played for Marlboro high school and youth hockey with the Howell Titans and Wall Eagles.  Levy finished the first semester of his junior year with a 3.9 GPA.  In addition to hockey, he is a research assistant for the Center for Advanced Biotechnology and Medicine, a teaching intern for Organic Chemistry, member of the Delta Epsilon Iota academic honor society and was awarded the Sanofi-Aventis award in April 2015 for excellence in synthetic organic chemistry.  This past season, Levy scored 2 goals and added 6 assists in the regular season.

Seth Crockett, a forward, transferred from Towson University for the fall of 2015.  Prior to attending Rutgers, he played hockey for Towson (D1), Livingston High School and was a part of the Devils Youth Hockey program.  Crockett is a Human Resources major and a member of the AEPi fraternity at Rutgers. This past season Crockett scored 2 regular season goals as well as game winning goal in the team's GNCHC semi-final victory over LaSalle University.

Daniel Taule, a forward, is a graduate student at Rutgers University.  Prior to attending Rutgers, he played on the University of Central Florida (UCF) roller hockey team and youth hockey with the Palm Beach Hawks.  He graduated from UCF with a 3.8 GPA.  At Rutgers, Taule is a student in the Clinical Psychology doctoral program.  He also serves as a coordinator for the Committee on Diversity and the Graduate School of Applied & Professional Psychology (GSAPP) mentorship program.  In 13 games played, he scored 6 goals and registered 8 assists.
